Robert Thurman on Quentin Tarantino

The NY Times has some Questions for Robert Thurman, whose answers are very candid, not surprisingly.

My favorite of their questions:

As a Buddhist, how do you reconcile your pacifism with the roles your daughter Uma has played in films like Quentin Tarantino’s bloody “Kill Bill”?

i especially like the last quote, especially as it applies to the “new age gurus” like eckhart tolle, who says in his new book something to the effect of, “this is an enlightened book, and if you don’t get enlightened reading it, you’re just not ready to be enlightened!”
