Why SCRABBLE Beta (Still) Drives Me Nuts

Over at flickr, a little photo-tour of a few of my issues with the SCRABBLE beta Facebook app.

Two qualifications: First, it’s not a comparison to Wordscraper, which has problems of its own. Second, it’s a highly selective list; I find the UI consistently buggy, bulky, and poorly designed.

l agree tho the site has omproved..why didnt they collaborate with the two Indian guys who had a very facile scrabulous which was defaced from facebook by Hasbro..biggest gripe now is at end of game you have to count all the tiles on board to figure out how many your apponent has left

Yeah, that part drives me nuts! Especially since the design of the real-life tile rack—shorter than the tiles themselves—deliberately allows for easy access to tile counts. Absurd. In this and so many ways, it’s like they pointedly disregarded the features of both the real-life game and Scrabulous.

I’m having trouble with a box poping up with the word error telling you that an eror has been made and that you have to go back and start allover again!!! It is really annoying because it happenes all the time now.

I’m having the same problem, Rhonda. It used to be once in a while, but suddenly it’s like two or three times out of five.

I haven’t tried it out yet, but apparently the Scrabulous people have come back to life:
